Taken during the summer in Killarney, I found this guy and his mate in a little pond nestled in the rocks. He wasn't that shy, and graciously let me photograph him.
His latin name, Rana clamitans, means 'to cry loudly', and that he does! He's the frog whose call sounds like a banjo twang.
