This is the first of my '10 Free Sketches', and I must say I'm very pleased with it!

I think my muse must have been whispering in my ear the entire time, because there's lots of 'firsts' in here for me. There's lots of little things I could go in and fix, but I'm NOT TOUCHING it, because every time I've ever gone in with pencil and eraser to 'just fix one thing', it gets all bollixed up.

"If you need a start point, I really like Wise Winds and it reminded me of one of my favorite artists, Brian Froud so perhaps some kind of fairy or other fantastic creature would be good. Oh and I liked the 'halo' on it and I have Irish roots, so if you can throw some kind of celtic reference in there, in a Mucha stylee, so much the better."

This sketch/drawing also made me realize what a great source of references and ideas deviantART is. I always knew it, but not untill you need to know how to draw something you've never done before does it really become apparent!
